Based on reviews
    • Church candle 150 mm tall by 50 mm wide
    • Our church candles are long burning and drip free if you follow the burning instructions below
    • Our church candles are all handmade in our Cornish workshop and not mass produced overseas

Burn the candles for at least 2 hours so that the melt pool of wax will reach the edge of the candle. If you only burn it for an hour it will not reach the edge and will tunnel down in the centre of the candle and not burn correctly.

As the candle burns occasionally you will need to carefully press the edges at the top of the candle towards the centre of the candle to make sure that all of the wax burns properly. This will stop the candle tunnelling down and give you a even burn, do this after the candle has been put out

Keep the wick trimmed to about 5 mm because if the wick is to long it will cause the candle to smoke. I recommend that you light your candle and let it burn for a few minutes and then check to see if the flame is tall or flickering. If it is trim a little bit off the wick at a time with a pair of scissors then relight the candle, you may have to repeat this a couple of times in the first hour of burning but after that once an hour should be okay.

Burn the candles in a draught free position, away from windows, doors, fans ETC otherwise a draught can make a candle smoke and burn unevenly. Our paraffin wax is fully refined and food grade and very clean burning but like soy or beeswax will still smoke if it is a draught or the wick is to big.
